The Médoc is a triangular peninsula in the Gironde department in south-west France, located between the Atlantic coast (Côte d'Argent) on the Bay of Biscay, the Gironde estuary and the Arcachon basin.

In addition to tourism and viticulture, the economy is characterised by the timber industry, fishing and oyster farming in the Arcachon basin. Several refineries are located upstream of the city of Bordeaux at the mouth of the Dordogne. In addition to the port of Bordeaux, the harbour of the small town of Pauillac, the container port and the Port Médoc sailing port in Le Verdon at the mouth of the Gironde are also worth mentioning.

The Médoc is also one of the most famous wine-growing regions in the world. Whether at a barbecue party or simply on their own in a cosy get-together, Médoc wines are rightly finding more and more places in Germany's gourmet circles.

merle.tech and Médoc Atlantique are working together to find the right location for "Créations migratoires".
