The creation of objects is a characteristic of humanity. We shape our environment to make our existence more comfortable: the trivet to sit on, the umbrella to protect us from the weather, the ball to play with. We trade in the artefacts created by our hands. These objects migrate from one region to another. Traders pass on know-how and ideas from neighbouring or more distant lands. Individuals, ideas and creations migrate.
Exhibition of objects created elsewhere.
"Créations migratoires" (or "migratory creations") is the name of a collective venture dedicated to showcasing objects created elsewhere.
Craftsmen and designers from across the Rhine are presenting their creations in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. A number of designers from Cologne and the surrounding area are exhibiting their creations between Bordeaux and Arcachon.
Designers and craftspeople from the banks of the Loire and Garonne are being welcomed in Rhineland-Westphalia. Designers' views on the resources of the Aquitaine region are on show in Cologne or one of the neighbouring cities.
Meet designers and craftspeople from around the world.
This project, initiated by Éric Falaise, is coordinated by merle.tech, a design agency.
Éric Falaise trained as an industrial designer. He is originally from Poitiers and trained at the Cité scolaire Raymond Loewy, the higher design centre in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. His career path led him to migrate to Cologne (Germany), where he devotes himself to design and innovation. "Migratory creations" is one of his initiatives.
The merle.tech agency is responsible for coordinating and supervising the projects. Its aim is to foster meaningful cooperation. By bringing together players and influencers, it aims to contribute to the economic development of the companies taking part in the exhibitions.
